About Us

The Blessed Sacrament Athletic Boosters are parents and community volunteers who coordinate and organize sports for more than 500 area children each year. Thousands of hours are given by these dedicated adults to provide our young people with a safe and healthy experience in team sports. With an emphasis on good sportsmanship and participation, all children are welcome to participate in Booster sports. Teams are made up of Blessed Sacrament and Beechwood school students, as well as other students from the community. We support baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, volleyball and golf.

Our Mission is to:

To promote cooperation and fellowship among the people of Blessed Sacrament Parish:

  • By organizing a sporting program that teaches fellowship, sportsmanship and fair play. We will work with the educators of the Church and school to teach our young members of the parish our religious and moral values.
  • To promote and support all athletic activities.
  • To help and support all needed activities for a better Blessed Sacrament Church and School.

In order to support the everchanging needs of our organization, the Boosters are involved in several activities to help offset the costs of maintaining our sports programs in an effort to keep fees as minimal as possible.  The annual Corn Roast is held on the Friday evening prior to the start of the Blessed Sacrament school year.  We also volunteer our time working concessions at Xavier University basketball games.

In the Summer of 2010, a new playground was added to the property to promote physical fitness and offer the children of Blessed Sacrament School a place to play.  The Boosters also sponsor an annual “Just a Nice Kid” scholarship to be used for secondary education for a graduating boy and girl.  More recently, we have provided financial assistance for the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home’s new multi-purpose facility and have renovated the Blessed Sacrament gym with a new floor, basketball goals, and scoreboard.

All coaches and parents who volunteer for our programs MUST be compliant with the Virtus Program as set forth by the Diocese of Covington.
