Baseball

Knothole Program:
Blessed Sacrament participates in the District 28 Knothole League.  Knothole Baseball is for children whose skills have developed to the point where they can field the ball, throw with accuracy and hit a pitch.  Knothole is a “kid-pitch” league.

Knothole provides a competitive baseball experience to all boys and girls living in the Blessed Sacrament Church boundaries, or attending Blessed Sacrament or Beechwood schools.  The Boosters sponsor teams in eight different divisions based on age. The age cutoffs for the different divisions are:

D1…. Generally 2nd grade
D2…. Generally 3rd grade
C1…. Generally 4th grade
C2…. Generally 5th grade
B1…. Generally 6th grade
B2…. Generally 7th grade
A….   Generally 8th grade and Freshmen

All Knothole players are expected to attend two practices and possibly two games each week.  Practice starts in mid March with the first game in mid April.  All regular season games will be completed by the July 4th weekend.  Some teams may enter pre-season, in-season or post-season tournaments.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  The knothole season does overlap the spring soccer season.  Knothole always plays games on Saturday which causes conflicts with soccer games.
